Another Northwood Evergreen alum making us proud! Britney (Oestreich) Binder, a Northwood class of 2010, UW Stout grad in 2015, recently graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She is the new owner of a Chiropractic practice in Altoona WI. Congratulations, Britney!

Kevin Kaiser made the music department a mobile drum set that fits into 2 suitcases that can be used for easy travel for pep bands. He also made the bass drum head with the Northwood logo on it out of one of our old bass drums a few years ago. Thank you for the continuous support of the music program!

With only a few more days of school left to go at Northwood before the holiday break, here another reminder about the upcoming holiday break. If you have any questions, please contact the district office or the Tiny Seeds Learning Center.

The Northwood elementary students got to do some holiday shopping at the annual Christmas Bazaar. The older students help the younger ones with finding items and then wrapping them up to bring home. This event brings lots of joy to our younger students every year!

Mrs. Turinske and her students helped to spread some holiday cheer last week with the elementary holiday program and middle & high school holiday concert. Thanks to Mike Meyer for the great photos from the events!

A few Northwood students out and about in the community last week. One community member sent Mrs. Turinske an email stating," Words can not thank the students enough that made the December Dining at 5 so memorable at the Minong Senior Center on Dec. 2nd. Thank you to the students and Britany for teaching them beautiful music. Students are continuing in making a difference in the community!" Way to go, Evergreens!

The Tiny Seeds Learning Center had some fun today! Mr. LaMont came in to read to them and the middle schoolers came in to sing carols.

During an interview this past summer about Northwood, Finley mentioned that his favorite person at Northwood was Ms. Patty. To prove his statement, he wore this festive shirt with her picture on it this past week. Just another fun Northwood moment!

At lunch this past Friday, the 10th graders got their chance to cash in their prize for being the winning high school class for the 2024 Penny Wars that took place before Thanksgiving break. Mr. Bub was a good sport about it and students had some fun! The tape didn't hold long, but memories were definitely made! The Penny Wars raises money for Minong's Operation Rudolph. This year the total donated was over $1,600. Way to go, Evergreens!
