This week students from NorthStar competed at the annual Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Speaking Contest. Their speeches showcased their public speaking skills as well as their passion for conservation issues in Wisconsin. Topics this year ranged from invasive and protected species, to whitetail deer populations, and even agricultural practices of Wisconsin. Two students placed first in their respective divisions at the county level and are advancing to the multi-county competition. We are so proud of our NorthStar students!
