An upcoming event at Northwood is a Hats for Helping Day and it is sponsored by Northwood’s Honor Society. On Wednesday, January 25th, students and staff can bring their favorite hat to school and for $1.00 they can wear it! All money collected will go to this month’s designated charity which is Comforts Food Pantry in Minong.
The Northwood Boys & Girls Basketball teams will face Unity at Northwood on Friday evening (1/20/23). The Girls varsity will play at 5:45pm and the boys will begin at 7:15pm. Our next Title I Family Literacy Event will be on Wednesday, January 25th from 5:00-6:00 in the library. All PK-5th grade students and families are invited! The literacy focus is on vocabulary and the family activity is game night. Every child takes home free books. Come enjoy time with your family at our January Family Literacy Event! As we all know, the challenges of this winter have led to a few school closures. To ensure that we are not short on instructional minutes, we will be adding a few minutes to the school day, which should have a minimal impact on the daily schedule. Starting on Monday, January 9th, Northwood's After School Academic Support will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays and Thursdays. The times will remain the same, however.

The Girls Basketball game scheduled at New Auburn tonight has been postponed to February 9, 2023. Game time TBD. MS Boys basketball practice for tonight has been cancelled. Just a reminder that this morning (Wednesday) the Northwood students in PK-5th grade will be going to the annual Christmas Bazaar. Students will be allowed to purchase up to 4 gifts for their adults at home for $ .25 each.
