Is chili a stew or a soup?
NorthStar students spent the past few weeks learning all things chili! They spent time researching recipes and the history of the food that has become a staple in the Midwest, along with purchasing fresh produce at a local farmers market. The class then learned how to stew their own tomatoes for the base of the chili, as well as soaking/cooking beans (if they chose to incorporate them). At the culmination, families were invited in for the first Coffee Connections of the year and NorthStar's first Chili Cookoff!
One of the things NorthStar debated on was whether chili should be classified as a stew or a soup. What do you think? Click the link and vote! https://forms.gle/KaSVdTGrd4mcHmS67
