In Elementary Art we spent the beginning of November learning about the meaning of Veterans Day and doing an art project that related to it. Thank you Veterans for all you do and have done! We appreciate you!

Today's Hats for Helping raised over $100.00 which will be going to the Comforts Food Pantry in Minong. Way to go Evergreens!!
Reminder - Tomorrow (Friday, November 13th) is National Kindness Day, so it is fitting that we are having Hats for Helping here at Northwood School. Students and staff can bring in $1.00 which will allow them to wear their favorite hat during school. All proceeds will go to Comforts Food Shelf in Minong.

Northwood's Penny Wars 2020 is in full swing! Today was Day 1 and we collected $33.95 to go to Operation Rudolph. Thursday, November 12th will be Twisted Thursday. Pennies will be negative towards a class's total and all other money will be positive towards their totals.

Northwood Families. As you know, the COVID situation is very unpredictable. In order to be prepared, the Northwood School District is working to be ready for a potential and temporary closure. Should this happen, free nutritional breakfasts and lunches will once again be provided for any child under 18. In the event we need to transition school from in-person to remote learning we will be prepared to deliver these meals immediately. Meals will be prepared according to the National School Lunch Program guidelines. All families are eligible and encouraged to participate in this free meal opportunity.

A reminder that the annual Penny Wars start tomorrow, Wednesday, November 11th and will run through next week with the final donation day being Friday, November 20th. The proceeds will be given to the Operation Rudolph charity in Minong. Donations will be collected in classrooms.
