Mark your calendars! The middle & high school band concert for the spring will be Tuesday, April 25th at 6:00 PM.
This is a reminder that there is school for all Northwood students tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7th. At the beginning of the school year, this day was just intended to be for Juniors only to complete the ACT but because of the multiple school closures this year, it was changed back by the school board to an all student instructional day. On a similar note, Juniors are asked to report at 7:50 AM tomorrow (Tuesday) for a planned breakfast in preparation for the testing and report to the library by 8:15 AM to begin testing. Please contact the district if you have any questions.

The Solon Springs Eagles will face the Drummond Lumberjacks in a Regional Boys Basketball in the Section 1 Regional Final on Saturday March 4th @ Northwood School. The game begins at 7:00pm. An upcoming event at Northwood is a Hats for Helping Day and it is sponsored by Northwood’s Honor Society. On Thursday, March 9th, students and staff can bring their favorite hat to school and for $1.00 they can wear it! All money collected will go to this month’s designated charity which is the Washburn County Humane Society.

On February 3rd, NorthStar Charter students Ava Kildow (5th grade) and Tucker Madsen (7th grade) competed in Hayward at the Northwest Regional Conservation Speaking Contest. Both students placed first in their age divisions and will be competing at the state level on March 1st in Wisconsin Dells. Congratulations!
This week is Wisconsin's School Bus Driver Appreciation Week. We at Northwood School would like to thank all of our bus drivers for going the extra mile. The service you provide for the school is really appreciated!

The Youth Risk Behavior Survey for students will be conducted between February 20-March 3 for students in grades 6-12. This survey is voluntary and anonymous; the results will be used to help develop better health, education, and student support programs.
