It is that time of the summer when we ask parents & guardians to reserve their child's spot on the bus for the coming school year. Please contact Ms. Vicky (vicky_brown@northwoodk12wi.com OR 715-466-2297) in the District Office to do so and confirm and update all of your information ASAP. The office is open Mondays - Thursdays from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
The local chapter of Hogs for Hope is having their 4th annual benefit ride. They have decided to support the children in the community by having a backpack and school supply give-away to any local children in need. Their benefit ride event will be July 27th (see image) and their backpack/school supply give-away will be on August 25th. The give-away event will be held at the Solon Springs Community Center from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. This is for any children in the Solon Springs or Northwood School Districts. In a continued effort to keep our students, families and staff safe, the school passes along information received from Washburn County Public Health. Recently, they shared immunization information for families because of changes made to the 2024-25 School Immunization Requirements for the State of Wisconsin. The Northwood Library received a $500.00 donation back in February from Northwest Wisconsin Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited. The books purchased have finally all arrived and are anxiously waiting for check outs once the students come back from summer vacation. The Northwood School is grateful to this organization for their donation!

Yearbooks for Northwood High School students are still available for purchase. The cost for this all-color, hardcover book is $31.65 + tax. Congratulations to our NSS Baseball Team on their 2nd place finish at the WIAA Division 4 State Championship Game! The whole Northwood and Solon Springs community is very proud of your historic endeavors for your team and our schools!! Thanks for taking us all along for a wonderful ride!

Update on Fan Bus for the State Baseball Championship Game: There will still be a group going, but due to the lower number, school vans are going to be used instead of a bus. There is still room for a couple of people. If interested, contact Mr. Kelly (scot_kelly@northwoodk12wi.com) ASAP. Leave time for the excursion is still 4:00 AM sharp Thursday morning from the Northwood School parking lot. Also, tickets must be purchased prior to departure and all elementary and middle school students need a parent/guardian in attendance. Come and help support our NSS Baseball Team.

Just a reminder about the possible State Baseball Fan Bus for tomorrow's Championship Game . If you are interested, please let Mr. Kelly know ASAP. Northwood and Solon Springs School District Families and Friends, Congratulations! Our Northwood/Solon Springs team won the semifinal game today and is competing in the Championship game on Thursday, June 13th. We are again looking for interest in a fan bus, which would leave from the Northwood School District parking lot at 4:00 a.m. sharp on Thursday morning and return following the championship game. Please email scot_kelly@northwoodk12wi.com if you’re interested including the number of people attending. We would like to get a minimum of 30 people to make this fan bus possible. Also, tickets must be purchased prior to departure and all elementary and middle school students need a parent/guardian in attendance. Thank you.
