There will be another Basketball Skills & Drills event for students in grades 2nd - 5th at the Northwood School Auditorium. The date is Wednesday, October 16th from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Northwood School is partnering with Healthy WashCo to bring Rise Together to our school for our middle and high school students on October 22nd. An email was sent out to parents/guardians this morning explaining more about this event. There will also be a community presentation at Shell Lake that evening at 6:00 PM. The Northwood Staff would like to thank the PaPa Saletris Italian Beefs Food Truck for coming to the professional development day for staff. The staff really enjoyed their food on their lunch break today.
Northwood's middle and high school students received awards of recognition in six areas from the staff for the month of September. The six areas are showing respect, rising star, civility, academic improvement, community contribution, and personal achievement over an obstacle. Today our Northwood Elementary students will be learning and reviewing fire safety procedures for Fire Safety Week. There is no need for alarm, if you see fire trucks at the building today.
10th grade English students spent class on Thursday and Monday creating and hiding their own Hunger Games characters!
Students were instructed to find a location in the school to hide their character in plain sight from their peers much like Peeta must do to survive in the arena.
