Some of our new staff answered more questions than the space allotted for with our Get to Know You Wednesdays, so here are their complete list of questions and answers. Next week, we will recap the returning staff members and their answers. Everyone who participated in answering these questions is being re-highlighted. Why did you decide to become a teacher or school staff member? I wanted to help students build self-esteem and believe in themselves and their ability to learn, no matter their background or abilities -- and no matter how tough the subject matter. Math is a tough subject, but if you stick with it and believe in yourself, you can do it! By studying math all the way through graduate school, I learned how to stick with things when they get difficult -- and my self-esteem and problem-solving abilities grew in leaps and bounds. I would like to teach stick-to-it-iveness to everyone that comes to class!! Because, honestly, perseverance is the key to living a successful life.
