Hello Washburn Schools!
This may have already come across your desks, but wanted to be sure this Wisconsin Student Immunization Law: 2024–2025 Annual School Webinar made it into your resources for the upcoming school year. Especially with the changes to vaccine requirements in the 2024-2025 school year including:
· MenACWY-containing vaccine at seventh grade and a booster dose at 12th grade.
· Exceptions to the varicella vaccine requirement allowed only if the student has had a case diagnosed by a qualified health care provider.
Please utilize me as a vaccination resource for children who are uninsured, underinsured (some insurance does not cover all immunizations), have or are eligible for Medicaid, American Indian or Alaska Native and/or are ages 0-18. We have the Vaccine for Children Program at the Washburn Health Department and can give vaccinations to help families meet these and all requirements. We are set up to do vaccinations by appointment or even curbside immunizations with a pre-screen. The clinic is also considered “accessible” by the autism society of Greater Wisconsin, which means we have specialized tools and training to help neurodivergent children through the vaccination process.
